Enid Area Mid-America Youth Basketball Tournament

For the 20th consecutive year, Enid and the Enid area will host a Mid-America Youth Basketball (MAYB) tournament. The 2018 event is July 20-22 at five venues across Enid.

“The Enid tournament is one of the longest-running in MAYB,” Enid MAYB tournament director Tim Swartzendruber said. “We take great pride in making this a first-class event.”

Originating in 1993, MAYB is now one of the largest youth basketball organizations in the U.S.  Boys and girls who are currently in grades 3-12 are eligible to participate in this event and any other tournament that MAYB offers.  Visit Enid has partnered with MAYB to help promote the event and ensure all participants a great experience.

MAYB has evolved into a year-round program with tournament locations throughout the Midwest.  The Enid tournament is part of the MAYB summer package where teams can either sign up for the four tournament package or select individual tournaments.  Each summer session concludes with the National MAYB Tournament August 2-5, with the boy's tournament in Wichita, Kan. and the girl's tournament in Oklahoma City.

One of the biggest draws for MAYB is the five-game guarantee each weekend.  This guarantee makes MAYB unique in allowing players to play multiple games for a relatively inexpensive cost compared to other organizations.

“MAYB continues to be a great value for teams,” Swartzendruber said. “Playing five games in one weekend is unique and we have excellent facilities for each division.”

Teams or individuals interested in participating in MAYB may contact the MAYB office at 316-284-0354 or visit the website at For the Enid tournament, contact Swartzendruber at 620-217-1439 or

The deadline to register for the Enid tournament is July 9.
